I will be doing a series of entries on raising a worm farm and harvesting the worm castings from start to finish. I’ve been doing this going on eight years now and have made some mistakes along the way, but am now reaping the rewards. I’d like to share with you the lessons I learned so that you can make your own decisions on what you should do. The series will include these topics and will be posted each week:

Worm farming with Can-O-Worms 3 tray system

“What kind of worm farm should you start with?” “How to begin the first tray of your worm farm.” “How many worms should you get and what kind?” “How much should you feed, what should you feed, and how often should you feed the worms?” “How much water should you give them? What to do with the excess run-off.” “What temperatures can the worms tolerate?” and “When should you add the next tray?” “Why do the worms try to escape?” “When do you harvest the worm castings and how is that done?”
